Title: m6A-Mediated Epitranscriptomic Control of Stress Responses in Arabidopsis
Dr. Ramanjulu Sunkar is currently a Regents Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, USA. He received his Ph.D from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, India and did postdoctoral research in Israel, Germany and USA. His laboratory focused on understanding gene regulation including microRNA-mediated gene regulation in response to abiotic stresses in plants. His recent work on RNA regulation expanded to study the role of RNA modifications (epitranscriptome) in plant stress responses. He has published about 125 peer-reviewed publications. He was included in the list of Thomson Reuters/Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researchers for five consecutive years (2014 through 2018). He edited four books and presented invited talks at the National and International conferences. He served on the editorial boards of Journal of Experimental Botany, BMC Genomics, BMC Plant Biology, PLoS One, Frontiers in Genetics and Genomics etc.
